SECTION A (25 Marks)

6. ( a) Explain the different instruments used in chain Survey.
(b) The physical education teacher asks form four students to draw the plan of a football pitch by using a simple chain survey. What would be the procedure to get the plan of the football pitch.

(28 Marks). Answer all questions in this section.
MAP READING AND PHOTOGRAPH INTERPRETATION
Carefully study the map extract of Malampaka (Sheet 49/1) seen below and answer the following questions:
a) Describe the relief of the area.
b) With evidence from the map, show the main social-economic activities.
c) Suggest the climate of the area.
d) Explain the nature and distribution of vegetation found on the map.
e) Write the advantages of the methods used to depict the relief of the map provided.
8. Carefully study the photograph provided below, then answer the questions that follow:
a) Suggest the type of photograph and give evidence of your suggestion.
b) Suggest any five social-economic activities that might be taking place in the area shown on the photograph.
c) Comment on the problem of building nearby the feature shown on the left-hand side of the photograph.
d) Describe relief of the area.
